Have you ever made a mistake? It’s not likely that you went as far in your life without making any mistakes. Most people (if not all) make them. Also, they will continue to make them. It’s part of the human experience.

You never want to face adverse situations. Unfortunately, they will happen. It’s not a matter of if, but when. If there is to be a silver lining, it’s that you will learn from them. That is if you are willing to learn.

The deeper the adversity you face, the more it tests your resolve. You will learn much about yourself in how you deal with your situation. Of course, if you are not willing to admit you have the situation to deal with in the first place, then you won’t draw from those lessons learned.

Let’s talk about sleep and getting more done. Our first thought when faced with a tight deadline or a large project is to cut back on sleep, so we have more time to work on it. In mathematical terms it makes sense. If you cut your sleep by 2 hours per night that theoretically gives you two extra hours to get your work done.

We often find ourselves wanting to be more daring in our life, but not knowing where or how to start. Or, we simply fear that being daring will cause us pain or heartbreak. These are valid fears, but how will you ever know, if you don’t dare to DO?

Spending long hours behind the desk is killing us. Yes, that sounds blunt, but we were not designed to sit in a chair all day. We spend too little time moving around, walking, and getting exercise.

The result is weight gain and various back and neck issues along with other health issues that arise from a sedentary lifestyle.
