What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the formal use of trance states to make changes on an unconcious level to the thinking patterns and associations we build as we experience life.

Many of these associations are learnt from things around us, from experiences, parents, teachers, television and media, and sometimes they do not help us achieve our best.

Hypnosis is known to be formally recognised in history as a tool for change. If you're thinking of a stage show, then think again!

A normal session involves being deeply relaxed, guided into a place where you can make the changes you seek. Hypnosis is a normal state of being.

A Daydream, the moment before you go to sleep, being engrossed in a book or TV program are all altered states that are classified as Hypnotic states.

Hypnotherapy is simply a way to facilitate a change of state to a place where internal changes occur.
